About The Position

As a Charge Nurse at Community Health System, you oversee daily clinical operations and support your care team to ensure safe, high quality patient care. You serve as the main liaison for your assigned area, working with physicians, staff, patients and families. You’ll coordinate patient flow, guide staff assignments and take responsibility for patient safety, quality and regulatory activities across the unit. You lead with purpose, grow your leadership skills and make a visible impact every shift, supported by a team that values your voice, your judgment and your commitment to excellent care. Our Neuroscience team at Community Regional was one of just 11 neuroscience intensive care units in the U.S. to earn a Beacon Gold Award of Excellence. As part of our Level I Trauma Center, the largest of three acute care hospitals, you will be key to the continuum of care of Valley patients and beyond! In this 30-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2, you will work closely with fellow team members, including our Neurological Intensivists, who provide teaching in an individualized or group setting. Procedures such as placing external ventricular drains, ICP monitors, line placement, and lumbar drains are examples of the credentials and training our team members have. Your role here will also include opportunities for growing your skillset as well as educational training so that you can qualify to pursue additional certifications within Neuroscience (i.e., ENLS, CCRN, CRRT, Trauma Care, etc.) and advancement opportunities within the clinical nurse ladder.
