About The Position

The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Health Care Services industry. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The LVN/RN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. This role requires compassionate communication with patients and their families, fostering a supportive and informative environment. Ultimately, the LVN/RN helps maintain the smooth operation of healthcare services by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Valid and current LVN or RN license in Texas.
  • Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience working as an LVN or in a similar nursing role.
  • Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a healthcare facility similar to the job location, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
