About The Position

The Charge Nurse LVN/LPN will provide direct patient care and oversee the nursing staff at Brookhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient vital signs. The Charge Nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, assist in policy development, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additionally, the role includes providing education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (LPN)
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care principles
• Proficiency in case management and medical office procedures
• Experience with vital signs monitoring, cardiac catheterization, sterile processing, and administering injections
• Familiarity with tube feeding, gastric lavage, and coding practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
