About The Position

This role involves supervising and coordinating nursing care for residents during an assigned shift. The Charge Nurse will assign duties to CNAs, monitor their performance, and administer medications and treatments. Direct resident care will be provided in accordance with physician orders. The position also includes participation in interdisciplinary care planning, assessments, and evaluations. Communication with the care team, families, and physicians regarding resident conditions is essential. Ensuring compliance with care standards, safety protocols, and documentation requirements is a key responsibility. The role also involves participation in survey readiness, training programs, and policy implementation. Additionally, the Charge Nurse will act as a mentor to staff, providing feedback and on-the-floor coaching.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead others while maintaining a resident-centered approach.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities
