Where You Will Work: 8C The Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney & Pancreas) unit has 26 beds. High acuity- step-down unit to SICU. We not only take care of transplant patients but also see liver disease, renal disease, general abdominal surgeries, oncology surgery and urological overflow. This is a fast paced, moderate acuity floor that requires the ability to think on your feet and build relationships with your patients. We would love for you to join our team!!

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• ADN acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN completion program in two years to be completed in five years.
• 2 years RN experience
• 1 Year Charge Nurse Experience
• Good communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with patient care equipment
• Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty - See Certification Addendum
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
