Requirements

  • Associate Of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Of Nursing
  • Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or Charge Nurse experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients.
  • Advocate for fellow nurses, supporting them in reaching their full potential, aligning with department's operational goals and objectives.
  • Be accountable and confident.
  • Be an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups.
  • Be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
  • Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.
  • Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
  • Evaluate care given by staff.
  • Coach to improve care.
  • Ensure standard of care is maintained.
  • Exhibit a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understands and coordinates the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult.
