About The Position

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Charge Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and help ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a medical telemetry environment. The role combines patient care with nursing-team leadership during the designated shift. The nurse assesses, plans, intervenes in, and evaluates patient care; educates patients and families about medications and treatment instructions; maintains and reviews patient records; and administers medications in accordance with physician orders. The position offers opportunities to influence patient care through collaboration with managers, hospital councils, and nursing initiatives.

Requirements

• Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations, or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required within six months of hire or transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene in, and evaluate the care of telemetry patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including posting test and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide leadership to the nursing team during the designated shift.
