Requirements

• At least 1 year of current hospital experience as a CVOR RN
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas
• Experience in a Charge CVOR RN role
• Strong communication skills with both staff and providers

Nice To Haves

• PALS certification
• Experience with open heart and cardiovascular procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech systems

Responsibilities

• Provide charge nurse duties in a CVOR RN role.
• Perform various cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Administer patient care in a unit with 2 heart rooms, potentially 3.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:1.
• Utilize various cardiovascular surgical instruments.
• Document using Meditech / CPN.
• Participate in on-call duties, including one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
