About The Position

Rio Tinto is seeking several Engineering Project Managers to play a key role in the execution of major projects within the Engineering Services department. Reporting to the Principal Supervisor and as part of a dynamic, collaborative team focused on excellence, you will work a daytime, weekday schedule.

Requirements

  • Commitment to your safety and that of your team.
  • DEC in Engineering Technology and/or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in project management.
  • Demonstrate a sense of responsibility in management and possess good teamwork skills.
  • Very good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple files simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • University Master's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Drive project execution by ensuring their preparation, execution, and commissioning.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships focused on participation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the strategic evaluation of investments, bringing a cross-functional and collaborative vision.
  • Monitor project performance (costs, schedules, quality, risks) and implement corrective actions as needed in case of deviations.
  • Promote the application and continuous improvement of engineering processes, practices, and standards to ensure the consistency and quality of deliverables.
