About The Position

At Arjo, we develop medical solutions that improve patient mobility and contribute to creating a safer work environment for healthcare professionals. Our Magog plant plays a key role in the design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of stand-aid and overhead lifts for healthcare facilities worldwide. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Project Manager acts as a technical resource within the Quality team. They contribute to ensuring the conformity of components, products, and processes by supporting inspection, metrology, non-conformity management, and continuous improvement activities. Through their expertise and rigorous approach, they actively participate in maintaining quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering or a relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience related to the position's responsibilities, or any equivalent combination of training and experience deemed relevant.
• Proficiency in English (level 4/5).
• Ability to read and interpret machining, assembly, and inspection drawings, as well as master the basic concepts of Geometric and Dimensioning Tolerancing (GD&T or GPS).
• Ability to use various measuring instruments such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, gear testers, and other similar equipment.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methods and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or other similar industry) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical support of inspectors in the context of incoming inspection activities.
• Support the creation, revision, and improvement of inspection sheets as needed.
• Act as a resource person and point of contact for the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), including providing support to inspectors and creating/maintaining associated programs.
• Initiate supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), non-conformities (NCs), and corrective or follow-up actions (ACs), and ensure their tracking in the local system or in TrackWise.
• Follow up on dispositions related to inventories associated with SCARs, deviations, and non-conformities under their responsibility.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing quality and manufacturing processes.
• Perform product release when required or act as a backup for this activity.
• Coordinate the management of scale gravity configuration parameters, including verifications, analyses, and deviation management.
• Make documentary modifications in accordance with current procedures.
• Produce and maintain the documentation required within the scope of their responsibilities.
• Perform any other related tasks related to the activities of the Quality department.
