About The Position

The Building Project Manager in the engineering team manages major capital projects for the utility systems of the Royalmount, Dorval, and Candiac buildings. They will be responsible for managing the replacement, improvement, and optimization of services related to manufacturing production and building maintenance. They act as the project lead and ensure all project stages are followed in accordance with current procedures (GMP, CNESST, National Building Code, etc.). The Building Project Manager must ensure rigorous follow-up on project quality, schedule, and budget. They coordinate the activities of all stakeholders: professionals, contractors, consultants, in addition to ensuring liaison with internal clients. Depending on the department's needs, they will be assigned major projects requiring systemic analysis and advanced multi-departmental coordination, or responsibility for the execution and budget adherence for the capital plan of all company sites. They must also participate in the change control process for validated equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Must have a strong sense of organization, planning, and priority management.
  • Be flexible, autonomous, and independent.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of ventilation systems, building system optimization, and BAS management.
  • Ease in managing pressure and adapting to changes.
  • Bilingual: The incumbent will need to collaborate with regulatory authorities and suppliers and/or clients located outside the province of Quebec.
  • Possess good communication and urgency skills (Priority Management).
  • Foster exchanges and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and SharePoint computer tools.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in engineering project management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building utility management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan projects to be carried out with clients, professionals, and contractors to improve the company's internal operations and logistics.
  • Act as the project lead.
  • Monitor work: Budgets, inspections, schedules, meetings, communications.
  • Respect budgets and schedules.
  • Review and participate in the preparation of qualification documents (CC, commissioning, URS, IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Define needs and prepare feasibility studies for major projects.
  • Perform updates of AutoCAD plans and maintain an up-to-date plan database.
  • Ensure collaboration with various departments - production, validation, quality assurance, compliance, documentation, and training.
  • Follow up on CAPAs and implement necessary corrective actions arising from them.
  • Execute and supervise tests required by qualification protocols and participate in resolving deviations and non-conformities identified during execution.
  • Support the writing/revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in various audits and follow up on corrective actions requested related to the Engineering/Validation department.
