As a Chapter Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in working closely with chapters in Northern Virgina to enhance their programming, engagement, and overall impact for Jewish teens. Requirements

Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
Role has in-person responsibilities. Candidate must live within or close to Northern Virginia.
Active participation at local chapter programs is required. Chapters program on average 2-4x a month.
Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events.
A creative and responsible self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration with teens.
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship.
Must be available for Regional Convention December 18-20, 2026 in College Park, MD, and ideally Council Convention April 2-4.

Nice To Haves

A background in BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming.
Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters to exceed membership and engagement goals.
Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars, ensuring a consistent and sustainable programming cadence.
Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room.
Ensure chapter participation in region-wide initiatives (e.g. Kickoffs, RLTI, and convention).
Ensure chapter participation in organization-wide initiatives (e.g., BBYO Summer Programs, ILN, and IC).
Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance, engagement, and membership trends, to inform strategy.
Build relationships and maintain communication with members, parents, and community partners.
Participate as a member of the regional team to bring innovative ideas and best practices to the community.
Participate in monthly professional development with fellow Chapter Specialists.
Staff our Regional Convention December 18-20, 2026 in College Park, MD.
Other duties as assigned.
