About The Position
During a hospital stay, the Chaplin provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff. In this role, you will coordinate communication between patient/family and community clergy as needed. You will also attend monthly spiritual care meetings. Within the department, you are required to serve as on-call chaplain throughout each month. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Requirements
- Master’s degree in related field or working towards such degree
- 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for full time positions
- 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for part time positions
- Candidates with 2 or more years experience as a chaplain within the healthcare field may be considered for contingent roles
Nice To Haves
- 2 years as a chaplain in a healthcare related field
- APC or NACC or equivalent
