This is a casual (non-benefited) position supporting Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. The schedule includes 2 weekend call shifts per month (12-24 hours per shift) and 1 overnight call (8pm to 8am) during the week. Additionally, the role involves filling in to cover Paid Time Off (PTO) as needed. The Chaplain reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM), adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards. A chaplain offers spiritual guidance and pastoral care to patients, families, and hospital staff/medical staff. As representatives of spiritual and/or religious traditions, chaplains use insights and principles of psychology, religion, spirituality, and theology.
