About The Position
The Spiritual Care Staff Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients throughout the facility (Emergency Room, inpatient units, both medical and psychiatric, ICUs, and outpatient areas as needed) as well as families, and healthcare staff. This role involves assessing and addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals possibly facing health care decisions, trauma, and chronic/terminal disease. The Staff Chaplain collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, Ministry, or equivalent.
- Ordination or endorsement from a recognized religious body.
- Completion of at least two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
- Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) or eligible for certification by a recognized certifying body (e.g., APC, NACC, NAJC, CAPPE).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations and religious traditions.
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
