About The Position
The Spiritual Care Staff Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients throughout the facility (Emergency Room, inpatient units, both medical and psychiatric, ICUs, and outpatient areas as needed) as well as families, and healthcare staff. This role involves assessing and addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals possibly facing health care decisions, trauma, and chronic/terminal disease. The Staff Chaplain collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients throughout the facility (Emergency Room, inpatient units, both medical and psychiatric, ICUs, and outpatient areas as needed).
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to families.
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to healthcare staff.
- Assess and address the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals possibly facing health care decisions, trauma, and chronic/terminal disease.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
