About The Position

The Chaplain is responsible for the assessment of patient/family spiritual needs and facilitates and provides pastoral ministry to patients and families. Requirements

Bachelors degree in Theology or Ministry or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience

Nice To Haves

1+ years of Hospice Experience
1+ years of Pastoral Experience
Certificate of Ordination - Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)
National Association of Catholic Chaplains Certification - Accredited University or accredited training professionals

Responsibilities

Responsible for the spiritual care of patients and their families.
Responds to calls for sacramental ministry.
Supports an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care through coordination of clergy, pastoral visitors, and volunteers from the pastoral community.
Utilizes time effectively and efficiently to ensure patient referrals are completed in a timely manner.
Effectively communicates and displays a knowledge and understanding of the role and capabilities of various professionals and collaborates effectively.
Utilizes effective verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills which reflect professional standards.
Collaborates with the Patient and Family Liaison representative.
Effectively communicates and displays a knowledge and understanding of the role and capabilities of various professionals and collaborates effectively.
All other duties as assigned.
