About The Position

Pinecrest of Country Manor, our new facility scheduled to open in September, is seeking a compassionate, ecumenical, and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual care, emotional support, and religious services to our residents. The Chaplain will serve as a vital, calming onsite presence, fostering a holistic environment of care that respects the diverse faith backgrounds and spiritual needs of residents, their families, and staff. This is a part-time position working approximately 12-16 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Current ordination or ministerial license in good standing from a recognized denomination required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Ministry, Pastoral Care, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with the ability to provide compassionate spiritual care to individuals of diverse faith backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly worship services and special seasonal services that support the spiritual needs of residents from diverse faith backgrounds.
  • Plan and facilitate weekly Bible studies and other faith-based opportunities for residents.
  • Provide spiritual care and pastoral support through regular resident visits, prayer, and compassionate listening.
  • Develop and lead meaningful spiritual programming for residents in the memory care neighborhood.
  • Coordinate with local clergy and faith communities to meet residents' individual spiritual needs, including arranging Catholic Mass, sacraments, and pastoral visits.
  • Maintain chapel resources and oversee the inventory of worship supplies and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Director of Spiritual Care, and interdisciplinary team to promote holistic, person-centered care.
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful environment that honors the diverse spiritual beliefs and traditions of residents, families, and staff.
