About The Position
The chaplain performs the duties and responsibilities of a professional chaplain within Prisma Health, delivering direct service and professional pastoral care and serving as a liaison between the hospital system and the religious community. The position reports to the Director of Pastoral Care Services. The role is located at Greenville Memorial Hospital in the Spiritual Care & Education department and is listed as PRN with a varying schedule.
Requirements
- Master of Divinity or Theological Studies.
- One year of ministry experience.
- Licensed, endorsed, and ordained by a faith or denominational group (Lawson Code COTR).
- One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is required.
- Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education may be considered equivalent to one year of pastoral care experience.
- Team members employed in this job before July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements; they must be certification eligible and obtain required certification within one year.
