About The Position

Work with the Spiritual Wellness team in the provision of spiritual care with patients, families and staff on an "As needed" basis. Provide religious spiritual care and counsel for emotional distress to patients their families and or intimate network, staff, students and volunteers, with attention to diverse spiritual orientations and cultures. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary partners in care. Participate in and or conduct liturgical worship services and celebrations. This position has the ability to work at all 4 Saint Luke’s metro hospitals.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year Chaplain Applicable Experience
• Chaplain endorsed letter
• Master's Degree - Divinity

Nice To Haves

• Serve on-call 1 weeknight a week, 1 weekend (24 hours) a month, and 1 holiday a year

Responsibilities

• Perform visits to patients, families and staff to provide spiritual care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts communicating care relevant to spiritual care.
• Maintain On-Call log.
• Prepare and conduct worship services as needed.
• Assist team to provide care in a disaster situation.
• Participate in the activities and tasks of the Spiritual Wellness department.
