The Registry Chaplain possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served. This includes knowledge of the physical, psychological, emotional, and relevant life stage needs of patients served. In accordance with regional and departmental policies delivers timely, person-centered spiritual/religious/emotional care to patients, their families, and staff. This includes but is not limited to needs for spiritual care, crisis response and support, prayer, end of life care, sacramental resources, grief support, ethical concerns, advance care planning, and interdisciplinary care. Serves as a backup to the Staff Chaplains and Resident Chaplains as needed to maintain 24/7 Spiritual Care department staffing and hospital coverage.
