About The Position

The Chaplain is responsible for addressing the spiritual, existential, and emotional needs of the member(s) and their families. This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. This policy promotes an environment built on in-person interaction, communication, and immediate support. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless accommodation is granted as required by law.

Requirements

Requires a BS/BA in theology or pastoral studies and a minimum of 3 years in healthcare or hospice setting, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or healthcare chaplain certification from an approved body required.

Nice To Haves

Master of divinity or related theological studies preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic support of member(s).
Identify gaps in members support and coordinate with community resources and the interdisciplinary team to help members navigate the health care system for support
Pastoral care offering comfort, prayer, and counseling to individuals and families.
Crisis intervention providing immediate, on-call support during trauma, medical crises, or bereavement.
Confidential counseling providing a safe space for individuals to discuss personal challenges, grief, and spiritual questions.
Interfaith Support assisting people from various religious or secular backgrounds.
