About The Position

Chaplain Supervisor Role at St. Louis Children's Hospital with BJC HealthCare This leader will provide direct supervision for Chaplain staff on evening, night, weekend & holiday shifts. Provides clinical care in assigned areas. Serves as a member of the Spiritual Care Department Leadership Team. Contributes to the overall operation of Spiritual Care. Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Theology/related
  • <2 years
  • < 2 years
  • APC/NACC/AJC or eligible
  • Ordination or equiv

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct spiritual care to patients and families.
  • Provides consultation to other members of the care team regarding spiritual issues and resources in patient and family care and regarding ethics.
  • Implements and participates in hospital wide improvement of quality care processes and services.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Provides direct pastoral care to staff and physicians, as needed, complementing staff support services provided by others.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
