General Description: Under general direction, supervises and participates in professional clinical pastoral work for the OU Health. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. Performs duties of Chaplain. Conducts special programs, such as Sunday schools, Bible classes and religious services for patients and staff. Visits new admissions; makes routine visits to units to offer spiritual guidance or personal adjustment when appropriate. Supervises clinical training of pastoral interns in one or more specialized phases of the training program. Serves as a correspondent for inpatients when necessary. Represents OU Health to outside agencies and organizations when explaining the role and purpose of the Chaplain’s service. General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned
