Chaplain Resident, Full Time, First Shift
About The Position
The Chaplain Resident will serve as a member of the health care team contributing to holistic patient and family centered care with an understanding of spiritual perspectives and the impact on coping, medical decision making, and health outcomes. As a learning and supervised member of our spiritual care team, the Chaplain Resident will be sensitive to the variety of faiths and practices to ensure competent, religiously appropriate, spiritual care is provided. The Chaplain Resident will also construct learning goals consistent with the Outcomes of Level I and Level II CPE as stated in the Standards of ACPE.
Requirements
- Understanding of spiritual perspectives and their impact on coping, medical decision making, and health outcomes.
- Sensitivity to a variety of faiths and practices.
- Ability to provide competent, religiously appropriate, spiritual care.
- Ability to construct learning goals consistent with the Outcomes of Level I and Level II CPE.
