About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• High School Diploma/GED, or 2 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
• Board Certified Chaplain - APC, ACPE, NACC, NAJC, CASC, CPSP, SCA

Responsibilities

• Under direction from the Director of Pastoral Care or Senior Chaplain, provides pastoral care during crisis by providing a calming presence and influence.
• Uses fundamental understanding of the grief process, especially in sudden death to counsel and minister to individuals and families.
• Responds to patient and family needs based on informal assessment of spiritual and pastoral needs.
• Fosters and maintains good working relationships with patients, families, visitors and co-workers.
• Facilitates the spiritual, religious and pastoral needs of patients and families of different faith backgrounds.
• Completes departmental and hospital required documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
