About The Position

Offers spiritual and emotional support directly to patients and their families, caregivers, and team members. Responsible for assisting with organization of daily activities as assigned. Provide Spiritual Care and Emotional Support to Patients, Families, and Healthcare Teams. Make a meaningful difference during life's most important moments. As a Chaplain Associate, you'll provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, caregivers, and team members while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver compassionate care, support individuals from diverse faith traditions, and contribute to a healing environment where every interaction matters.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education
• Ordination/ Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement
• Communication
• Computer Literacy

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the team by attending interdisciplinary team conference, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate
• Assesses each patient, family member, and caregiver for spiritual needs and concerns in consultation with other team members
• Provides direct chaplaincy services (when accepted) to patients, family members, and caregivers of different philosophies and religious perspectives
• Consults, if requested by patient or family, the patient’s clergy of choice and advises them on admission
• Documents all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frame
• Provides consultation, counsel, and support to other team members as appropriate
• Assists with training programs and in-service education as requested
