Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Chaplain Associate, you will be a beacon of compassionate spiritual care, profoundly impacting patient recovery and well-being during critical times. Every day, you will facilitate connections, offer comfort, and provide essential chaplaincy services to nurture the holistic healing journey for patients and their families. Requirements

• Bachelors Other theology orbehavioral science.
• Supervised healthcare chaplaincy of atleast three (3) months, may includehospice experience and/or ClinicalPastoral Education., upon hire
• Other One Unit of ClinicalPastoral Education., upon hire
• BCC - CANADIAN SPIRITUAL, upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Masters Other Div. or Masters in Theology, upon hire
• Other Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, upon hire
• acute care,hospice or long term care experience
• Board Certified Chaplain APC, upon hire or Certified Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education, upon hire or Board Certified Chaplain BCC, upon hire or Catholic Chaplain, upon hire or BCC - JEWISH CHAPLAIN, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual and emotional care to patients, their families as well as hospital staff.
• Provides pastoral care and counseling consistent with the plan of treatment developed for each patient.
• Provides for and participates in hospital dedication/blessing ceremonies as well as provide religious ritual/services for patients, families, staff and volunteers as requested and appropriate.
• Assumes responsibility for on call support for evening and over night during weekdays and weekends.
• Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings as possible.
• While working in house, he/she will respond to all CODES, STEMI's and other emergency situations related to and appropriate for their position as a chaplain and provide support as needed or requested.
• While on call, he/she will respond to crises as requested.
