About The Position

As Associate Chaplain - Limited (Weekends 10 hours per day, 20 hours per week) , you will: The Associate Chaplain responds to requests for spiritual care in crisis and life-threatening events at the hospital and provides intervention. The Associate Chaplain also responds to requests for patient care off-site. Shift: Flexible Hours - Weekday Eveing Position. Monday - Friday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (10-hour shifts each day). On-Call work could include weekends.

Requirements

• College degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or Theological Studies
• Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, CPE
• Satisfactory Completion of a background check
• Three years’ experience as a chaplain in a health care, military, or hospice setting

Nice To Haves

• Graduate Theological Degree or equivalent
• Ecclesiastical endorsement
• Ordination as a minister in an organized faith tradition
• Board Certification with an accrediting agency such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, APC
