The VHOP Chaperone is vital to the safety of participants and overall program success. The Chaperone is expected to work closely with the VHOP Coordinator. Under the direction of the VHOP Coordinator, the Chaperone is expected to assist in planning for making reservations for and supporting VHOP prior to and during the program. In addition, the Chaperone will be responsible for supervising participants, youth ages 16-18 years, to ensure safety and engagement, and, at times, be the lead adult in charge. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to foster a sense of tribal health stewardship.
