About The Position

Inside the Role Job Description Summary Face-to-face selling to new channel partners/distributors and cross/up/repeat sales to existing channel partners/distributors. Maintains and expands existing relationships with organizations distributing products, services and/or solutions. Develops and delivers product demonstrations, sales bids and presentations to channel partners/distributors and may also train channel partner/distributor sales personnel in product use and sales techniques. We Take Care of Our Team What You Drive at DTNA Promote the sale of Freightliner Trucks and Western Star Trucks within, through direct dealer and customer contact. Work with dealers and customers to understand transactional details around the purchase or lease of commercial vehicles, and make logical and supportable pricing recommendations. Assist dealers in planning and achievement of sales objectives. Monitor and report district dealer and region dealer sales performance. Assist dealer management with sales forecasts, budgets, inventory planning, training and achievement of sales objectives. Effectively communicate and serve as liaison between dealers / customers and support departments. Assist dealers with schedule and other sales coordination activities. Will be required to manage dealer and Top 50 volume allocation and enforce Dealer Reservation System (DRS) policies and guidelines. Provide technical sales and/or business management expertise to resolve difficult situations or conditions. Provide information with facing field managers in Parts, Service and Distribution Development. Ensure that every effort is made to develop and coach dealers in ways that will maximize their efficiency and profitability. This position will be open to anyone willing to relocate and domicile within the District 14: Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota . Strong preference for the candidate to be based in the Salt Lake City area, but will consider other locations within district territory. These positions are eligible for relocation into the designated territory. Knowledge You Should Bring BS/BA and 8 years of relevant experience is required At least 2 years of group leader, supervisory, or project lead experience, or 2 years field experience Strong customer relationship development and management Ability to manage through conflict in a respectful and professional manner Ability to drive purchase decisions that favor our brand Ability to provide product presentations and answer questions of dealers and customers Ability to structure commercial vehicle transactions This is a field deployed position and requires self management skills as it relates to travel, time and managing priorities Excellent attention to detail and strong follow through is Excellent written and verbal communication skills is Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel Expect up to 75% travel An attached resume is required Exceptional Candidates Might Have Master's Degree preferred Customer-facing or dealer-facing experience Prior sales or account management experience Product knowledge Well-developed situational awareness in front of dealers and customers and peers Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US.
