About The Position

With a 12-second wash cycle that uses 75% less water than a manual handwash (while eliminating the same 99.9% of pathogens), Meritech's CleanTech ® Automated Handwashing technologies are changing the hygiene game for thousands of companies in food production, packaging, entertainment, travel, and more. Meritech is growing, and we’re looking to add a strategic Channel Sales Account Manager to strengthen key partnerships and drive revenue growth. In this role, you’ll own and manage assigned accounts, develop strategic plans, lead negotiations and renewals, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer needs and expectations. This position plays a critical role in expanding existing business, supporting long-term customer success, and ensuring strong, sustainable channel relationships.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in account management, channel sales, or B2B customer relationship management (or a strong eagerness to grow in this space).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple key accounts, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to different stakeholders and customer preferences.
  • Willing and able to commute daily to our office in Golden, CO, and travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Comfortable analyzing sales data, account performance metrics, and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Skilled at proactive problem-solving, conflict resolution, and serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point for customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and executive-level conversations (proficient in English reading, writing, and basic mathematics – high school diploma or GED equivalent required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Able to regularly perform the following physical requirements, with or without accommodations: - Frequently: Ability to utilize basic office equipment such as computer, keyboard, printer, phones. - Frequently: Communicate via phone call, email, chat, and other methods with customers, internal staff, and others. - Frequently: Prolonged periods working at a desk and/or computer. - Occasionally: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage relationships with assigned key accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and renewal processes for key customers.
  • Monitor account performance, customer satisfaction, and KPIs; proactively address risks and issues.
  • Forecast revenue and maintain accurate account documentation in CRM systems.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support onboarding of new key accounts and ensure smooth transitions and implementation.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer markets, and competitive activity
  • Travel to customer facilities for meetings and site visits, following company policies & process for travel.
  • Coordinate & arrange travel to visit customers onsite to determine needs & discuss accounts.
