Channel Management Specialist
About The Position
BYD Automotive GmbH is a leading global electric vehicle manufacturer specialising in innovative, sustainable mobility solutions. The scope of products spans across all BYD brands, which fall under the responsibility of BYD Automotive GmbH. We are looking for an experienced Channel Management Specialist to support the development and management of BYD’s sales channels. The role will focus on strengthening relationships with dealers and regional partners, monitoring channel performance and supporting the implementation of effective sales and distribution strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in channel management, dealer management, sales operations or a similar commercial role.
- Good understanding of sales channels, dealer networks and partner relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data and channel performance metrics.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, proactive and capable of working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the automotive, mobility, retail, distribution or consumer goods industry is desirable.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting tools or dealer management systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of an additional European language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of channel management strategies across the assigned market.
- Manage day-to-day communication with dealers, distributors and other channel partners.
- Support dealer network development, onboarding and performance management.
- Monitor channel performance, sales results, customer experience and key performance indicators.
- Prepare regular channel performance reports, analyses and management presentations.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales coverage, dealer productivity and customer reach.
- Coordinate channel-related activities, campaigns, meetings, workshops and business reviews.
- Ensure that channel partners follow BYD processes, brand standards and commercial guidelines.
- Support the planning and implementation of dealer targets, incentive schemes and business plans.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Finance and other internal departments to ensure effective channel operations.
- Collect market and dealer feedback and share relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
- Support the resolution of operational issues and maintain strong partner relationships.
- Contribute to process improvements and the continuous development of BYD’s channel management approach.
- Carry out other channel management activities as required.
