About The Position

The Cornell Experience Modernization Initiative (CEMI) is a multi-year program designed to improve the experience of students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, patients, and partners by unifying and enhancing administrative systems and processes across all Cornell University locations. The Data & Analytics focus within CEMI will unify data sources to create an accessible golden record. Historically, Cornell’s data has resembled pieces of a puzzle—each campus and department holds different pieces, but university leadership needs to see the complete picture to make informed decisions. Cornell’s fragmented reporting systems make it difficult to gather and analyze data across the university, hindering our ability to gain comprehensive insights. Creating a unified approach to data management and analytics will help Cornell make better-informed decisions that serve our entire community. Before building effective university-wide analytics, it is critical to establish a common data language and understanding across all units. This foundation will support CEMI’s broader goal of creating integrated, efficient systems that enable data-driven decision-making across Cornell.
