The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for the Chair of the Department of Nurse Anesthesia. The DNP Nurse Anesthesia program at the University of Pittsburgh prepares students through course work that develops knowledge and skill in anesthesia practice as well as in organizational and leadership skills. The rigorous curriculum features courses addressing the chemistry and physics of anesthesia, advanced pharmacology, advanced physiology and pathophysiology, basic-to-advanced principles of anesthesia care, anesthesia technology, team training, patient safety, and the professional role. This full-time, tenure- or appointment-stream faculty position can be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank. This leadership faculty position will be responsible for overseeing the overall function of the Department of Nurse Anesthesia. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
