About The Position
The Chain Grinder will operate machinery, including polishing and grinding equipment, to grind any metal workpieces to their prescribed specifications to ensure high-quality products. Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is looking for talent that will hold true to our mission while maintaining the safety and knowledge that we have valued since we were founded in 1984.
Requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe working space.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions, whether working with a team or without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Produce Rip chains for stock for customer (for milling slabs)
- Cut rolls of chains to customers desired specifications
- Sharpen chains from 1/4 pitch to 3/4" chains
- Straightening homeowner to harvester bars
- Replace bar tips and grind
- Make new chains for walk in and call in customers
