CH&E Coordinator (Engagement Coordinator) - Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario
About The Position
Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) is an Integrated Youth Services (IYS) initiative aimed at addressing service gaps for youth mental health and substance use in Ontario. YWHO collaborates with local service providers to offer young people aged 12-25 integrated services, including mental health and substance use support, primary care, education, employment, housing, and other social services within a youth-friendly environment. The initiative rigorously evaluates outcomes, focusing on youth and family-important wellness areas, and employs a co-creation process with youth, families, and partners to ensure services meet their needs. The YWHO IYS model enhances youth experiences and outcomes by increasing access to rapid, low-barrier services, reducing transitions by consolidating care, and offering tailored programs co-developed with youth. YWHO currently consists of 32 local hubs across over 40 communities and a Provincial Office at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). The Provincial Office supports YWHO Networks in areas such as implementation, operations, data and evaluation, youth and family engagement, equity, knowledge mobilization, and communications. CAMH's mission is to reshape societal perceptions and responses to mental illness, striving for a world where mental illness is a core part of the healthcare system and mental health is recognized as essential health.
