About The Position

As a result of continued growth within our CFO Advisory practice, an opportunity has been created for a Finance Transformation Senior Manager to join our national practice. The Finance Transformation, Accounting Advisory Senior Manager plays a critical role in helping organizations modernize their finance functions and improve operational effectiveness. This individual will lead client engagements, manage teams, and deliver finance transformation solutions that align finance operations with business objectives. Working closely with middle-market CFOs and finance leaders, the Senior Manager will help clients enhance finance processes, leverage technology, improve reporting and analytics, and drive sustainable business performance. The role combines client delivery, project leadership, business development, and people management responsibilities while maintaining a hands-on approach to engagement execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting, finance transformation, accounting advisory, or a combination of consulting and industry finance leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex client engagements and managing project teams.
  • Experience driving business process improvement initiatives across finance functions, including lead-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, and FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of finance operating models, organizational design, process optimization, and finance transformation methodologies.
  • Experience conducting operational and financial assessments and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, automation tools, and data analytics solutions.
  • Strong project management, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Experience working with Private Equity-backed portfolio companies is preferred.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, separation planning, and post-close finance integration activities is preferred.
  • Experience advising private equity sponsors and portfolio company management teams through acquisition, integration, and value creation initiatives is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 25-40%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage finance transformation and accounting advisory engagements from planning through execution and delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Controllers, and finance leadership teams on finance process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive transformation efforts across key finance functions, including: Lead-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Other functions within the Office of the CFO.
  • Assess current-state finance operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, scalability, and business insights.
  • Design and implement practical solutions involving people, process, technology, and organizational change.
  • Manage engagement budgets, project timelines, staffing plans, and overall project performance.
  • Support finance workstreams associated with mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and post-close integration initiatives, including Day 1 readiness, finance organization design, process harmonization, financial reporting alignment, and operating model transformation.
  • Collaborate with technology, risk, tax, audit, and other advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
  • Monitor project risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary day-to-day client contact throughout engagement delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional services and solutions.
  • Support executive presentations, steering committee meetings, and client communications throughout transformation initiatives.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, client presentations, and pursuit support.
  • Partner with advisory, audit, and tax professionals to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, solution development, and marketing initiatives that support growth of the CFO Advisory practice.
  • Support efforts to develop and maintain a pipeline of finance transformation opportunities.
  • Maintain an individual business development and sales goal aligned with practice objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor consultants, senior associates, and managers across engagement teams.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, training, and career development support.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on quality and client service.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.
  • Support resource planning and team staffing across multiple engagements.
