About The Position

This position is located in Guadalupe County, Santa Rosa, NM. The program assistant works with the Cooperative Extension Agent to deliver programming and services to 4-H youth and other constituents, in alignment with the Guadalupe County Extension Service’s current plan of work and based on constituent requests for assistance. The position is particularly dedicated to assisting with 4-H youth development programs in preparation for 4-H project completion and for exhibition at the County, State, and regional Fairs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher degree.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office programs and applications, social media applications, and electronic communications applications (including email and text messaging)

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning and delivery of project workshops, 4-H Club meetings and activities, 4-H constituent correspondence and program promotion, especially through social media.
• Works with Extension team to ensure that appropriate systems and applications are established and utilized efficiently and effectively.
• Able to work some evenings and weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
