About The Position

This role involves setting up, adjusting, operating, programming, and troubleshooting robot systems for material handling, drilling, and welding. The operator will be responsible for ensuring product quality, productivity, and efficiency by making routine equipment adjustments and performing quality tests. Additionally, the role requires manual repair welding for products below standard and maintaining a clean work area. Teamwork is essential.

Requirements

  • Qualified and successfully hold a Certified Welder’s job or its equivalent, either in position or be certified by a technical institute.
  • Pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
  • Able to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, and other measuring devices.
  • Perform SPC procedures and tests, then interpret findings to make appropriate changes in the process.
  • Able to navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
  • Highly motivated and willing to solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce an acceptable quality product.
  • Set-up, operate, program, and troubleshoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) and other robotics equipment in the welding process.
  • Operate more than one type of machine.
  • Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks.
  • Visually inspect product, record production, report/record scrap, and perform rework as assigned.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure process efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Manually repair or hand weld products that are below standard.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Work as a team.
