About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Welder/Fabricator/Hydraulic Technician to join their team. This role involves working on heavy construction and forestry equipment, performing all phases of welding and fabricating, and fabricating/installing hydraulic lines and attachments. The position is based in Mt. Vernon, WA.

Requirements

5 or more years of experience in all phases of welding and fabrication.
Mechanical aptitude/experience and a 2-year Diesel Technology or Welding degree will also be considered.
Ability to read blueprints preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

Perform all phases of welding and fabricating including air arc, wire feed, stick, acetylene, brazing, and fabrication skills on heavy construction and forestry equipment.
Fabricate and install hydraulic lines and attachments.
Test hydraulic components.
Perform welding and customization of equipment as needed.
