Certified Weld Inspector

About The Position
The Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) performs weld inspection work involving structural steel. The role requires an active AWS Certified Weld Inspector certification, at least three years of CWI experience, hands-on welding experience, and the ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs). The position pays $30–$40 per hour and is on the day shift.
Requirements
- Active AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification
- At least 3 years of experience working as a CWI
- Structural steel experience with AWS D1.1
- Hands-on welding experience including FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and/or GTAW
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and WPSs
