About The Position

Cummings Veterinary Hospital, part of the Mission Pet Health family, is looking for a confident, motivated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys utilizing their technical skills, and loves working alongside a collaborative team. The hospital is an AAHA Accredited facility committed to the highest standards of small animal care and is located in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring
  • Patient care and treatments
  • Laboratory procedures and diagnostics
  • Radiology and dental procedures
  • Client communication and education
  • Work alongside an experienced veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
  • Providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
  • Guiding and supporting the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.
  • Being a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.
  • Playing an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.
