About The Position
Cummings Veterinary Hospital, part of the Mission Pet Health family, is looking for a confident, motivated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys utilizing their technical skills, and loves working alongside a collaborative team. The hospital is an AAHA Accredited facility committed to the highest standards of small animal care and is located in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring
- Patient care and treatments
- Laboratory procedures and diagnostics
- Radiology and dental procedures
- Client communication and education
- Work alongside an experienced veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
- Providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Guiding and supporting the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.
- Being a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.
- Playing an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.
