About The Position

Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital is seeking Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) who want to feel valued and make a difference in the lives of people and their pets. Requirements

Certified veterinary technician

Nice To Haves

1+ year experience preferred but not required
Open to new graduates from an AVMA accredited program that are waiting to take the VTNE
Top-notch technical skills
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests, preferred but not required
Avimark experience
Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital

Catheter placement
Cystocentesis
Fine-needle aspirates
Animal restraint
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical prep
Running treatments on appointments
Patient care
Computer skills
Customer care skills
Interpreting medical records
Recording client history accurately
Restraining pets in a low-stress and safe manner
Sample collection (blood, urine, fecal, skin)
Setting up and processing laboratory samples and tests
Positioning and capturing radiographs
Anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
