About The Position

The Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) plays a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care within the medical team. This position involves administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing laboratory work. The CVT will also guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow and mentoring colleagues. A key aspect of the role is partnering with pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering their questions. Additionally, the CVT contributes to a positive hospital culture through training, providing feedback, and maintaining high standards.

Requirements

Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program
Current state veterinary technician license (CVT) in good standing
Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures
Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced or stressful situations
Strong communication skills
Passion for working collaboratively
