About The Position

The Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) in Racine, WI is hiring a per diem Certified Veterinary Technician to support our high performing Emergency Department. WVRC is a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital and is one of 8 VECCS Certified Level 1 Trauma Centers in the world. We have three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Ozaukee all dedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. WVRC offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where our main goal is to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients as well as offering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Certified Veterinary Technician credentials are required for this role.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working in a Veterinary Hospital setting is required.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and ability to contribute in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.
  • Strong Technical skills including phlebotomy, medication calculations, and radiology positioning.

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency or Specialty experience is highly preferred.
