Requirements

  • CVT/LVT/RVT - Veterinary Technician credentialing is required for this role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in veterinary anesthesia
  • Accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs
  • Proficiency in record keeping related to medical procedures including daily treatments administered, patient status, procedures completed, supplies used, and anesthetic records
  • Understanding and review of medical records pertinent to patient care
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor anesthesia for specialty and emergency patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Provide exceptional nursing care for hospitalized patients throughout their treatment and recovery.
  • Assist surgeons and veterinarians with patient admissions, procedures, and discharges.
  • Closely monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates with the veterinary team.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care and a seamless client experience.
  • Utilize your strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture while continuously expanding your clinical knowledge and technical skills through ongoing learning and development.
