About The Position

We are looking for dynamic individuals to lead an early learning UPK program at the Learning Village Early Learning Center in Guilderland. This early learning childcare position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community. These roles help to create a positive learning environment, nurture relationships, and support the potential of all children at site as part of the overall daycare experience.

Requirements

NYS Teaching Certificate (Birth - 2nd Grade)
One (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
AAS in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field with no prior experience OR Child Development Associate Credential WITH one (1) year prior experience OR 9 college credits in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field WITH two (2) years direct experience working with children under the age of 13.
Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
Completed Physical and TB Test (within the last year) by Day 1 of Employment.
Completed CPR, AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention by Day 30 of Employment.
Completed New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, NYS OCFS Health & Safety and ALICE (Active Shooter) by Day 90 of Employment.
Completed 15 hours of childcare related training by Day 180 of Employment (then 15 hours annually).

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
