About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a Certified Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Teacher at its Syracuse (Highland), New York center. The teacher implements New York State and individual district UPK curricula to prepare children ages 3–4 for kindergarten. This role includes supervising children in one assigned classroom, creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences, maintaining a warm, clean, and safe environment, and partnering with families to support each child’s care and education. The position is listed as full-time or part-time, with no evenings or weekends. The pay range is $19.00–$25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• New York State Birth–2 certification or Nursery Teacher certification.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 3–4 in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to district and state guidelines.
• Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans that provide the best care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
• Implement New York State and individual district UPK curricula to prepare children for kindergarten.
