Certified Transportation Aide
About The Position
As a Certified Transportation Aide (CTA) you will perform a dual role of providing resident care as a CNA as well as transporting residents to and from medical appointments and outings. Transportation is a service that is highly valued by our residents to fulfill their medical and social needs. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity.
- Must have valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate.
- Safe driving record (no at-fault accidents, serious driving violations, or minor moving violations within the last three years).
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and driving community vehicles to transport residents in safe and efficient manner.
- Assisting with loading and unloading of passengers.
- Assisting residents in and out of destination.
- Providing direct resident care.
- Reporting conditions and changes to RN or LPN.
